Thanksgiving Turkey Burger

1 ¼ lbs ground Turkey
1 large Egg
¼ cup Olive Oil
¼ cup of Milk
1 package of Stove Top Stuffing Mix (low Sodium)
1 can Whole Cranberry Sauce
6 Onion Rolls

In a medium bowl beat the egg with a fork.
Add the olive oil and milk, mix well.

In another bowl, empty stuffing mix and shake gently so that the spices settle to the bottom. Remove one cup of the bread pieces and save for future use. Crush the bread pieces by hand so there are no large pieces of bread.

Combine the stuffing to the egg mixture and mix well.

Put the turkey into the second bowl (this will soak up the seasoning that didn’t get added to the egg mixture). Add the stuffing mixture and cut it into the meat with fork until well mixed.

Form six burgers and set aside. Spray grill with cooking spray and grill over low coals. Cook 4-6 minutes on a side being careful not to burn them. You may want to turn them approximately every two minutes.

Cut the buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill. Place burger on one side of the bun. Cover the other side with the cranberry sauce (about ½ inch deep). Combine the halves and enjoy

We have tried other condiments with this and have found that it does not taste as good as when we use just the cranberry sauce alone. The bun has onions in it that add an extra flavor but does not overpower the meal. We serve the sandwich with sweet potato fries for an added Thanksgiving reminder.
